Summary


The post holder will support and contribute to providing rapid assessments for those young people presenting with eating disorder difficulties and will work within the principles of both the agreed models of care for the services as laid down in the operational policy.



The post holder will also support the CEDS Clinical Team Lead with some operational duties within the service, including frontline leadership. This will include professional and practice development and ensuring high quality client centered care is delivered. The post holder will lead by example to maintain high standards of clinical care and professional practice, and to empower all clinical staff to take on a greater range of clinical tasks to improve client care in the specialist CAMH service. The post holder will be a highly visible presence in clinical practice and be accessible to clients and their families.

The post holder will work as an autonomous and accountable practitioner and support with leading this targeted team. This will involve the management and supervision of junior staff, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the care provided and effective liaison with all agencies involved with the service user. As mentioned, the post holder will undertake assessment, and hold a caseload of adolescents delivering evidence based treatment, including onward signposting for CAMHS referrals, in accordance with the CAMHS SPOE Operational guidelines.



A key role is in liaison and joint working with other professionals, especially core members of CAMHS, GPs, LEA/schools, inpatient units and the adult transition team to maintain effective continuity of care and to widen awareness of the complexities involved in the management and treatment of Eating Disorders.
