About the role
The Sales & Marketing Manager at RAFATRAD Ltd plays a pivotal role in driving strategic growth across both digital and retail sales channels. Reporting to the Head of Retail, this role leads the co-creation and execution of innovative campaign strategies, planning, customer engagement, product presentation, digital optimisation, and data-driven decision-making. The postholder will champion innovation in e-commerce and multi-channel marketing, proactively exploring new channels, ideas, and technologies to elevate customer experience and sales. Additionally, the role will make a significant contribution to broader RAF Association group initiatives in marketing, communications, and engagement, helping to shape the future direction and impact of the organisation.
Primary responsibilities include
Develop and implement B2C and B2B sales strategies, managing and optimising digital channels to maximise reach and performance.
Develop and deliver an annual, insight-driven marketing plan, managing campaigns across digital, email, social, print, and PR channels.
Demonstrate financial comprehension in managing the marketing budget, ensuring return on investment.
Clearly define objectives and expectations for team members using performance review tools and hold your team accountable for successful performance.
Lead the creation of compelling content and visual assets in collaboration with the Sales & Marketing Officer, overseeing social media scheduling and engagement.
Lead targeted email marketing campaigns and coordinate paid advertising activities to achieve revenue targets.
Manage online sales channels including Shopify, eBay, TikTok Shop, and other marketplaces
Identify and pursue new marketing opportunities and emerging trends, enhancing the branded merchandise range and supporting procurement processes.
Line manages the Sales & Marketing Officer, Ecommerce Officer, and Retail Administrator, and support the coordination of casual staff.
About you
Educated to degree level or with equivalent relevant experience in marketing, communications, retail and online sales, you will have substantial experience in multi-channel sales and content marketing. You will need to have proven experience in digital content creation and an understanding of audience segmentation and customer journeys. The ability to convey messages clearly and persuasively is essential for this role along with experience in managing budgets and resources. Previous line manager experience is highly desirable as you will be leading and motivating a small, but growing, team. Based within our HQ in Leicester we offer hybrid working for this role (not fully remote)
