The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for both staff and patrons. As a Door Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with licensing legislation and company policies while providing excellent customer service.
Purpose of Role To provide a safe and secure environment for customers, staff, and property by managing entry, monitoring behaviour, and responding to incidents in a professional and customer friendly manner.
Key Responsibilities
Control entry to the venue, ensuring customers meet age and entry requirements
Carry out ID checks in line with licensing and venue policy
Monitor customer behaviour inside and outside the venue to maintain a safe welcoming atmosphere
De-escalate situations using conflict management techniques
Respond to incidents, including removing individuals where necessary, in accordance with the law and SIA guidelines
Liaise with venue management and local authorities (police, licensing officers) as required
Keep accurate incident and refusal records
Conduct regular patrols of the venue and have a proactive approach to preventing issues within the venue
Provide customer assistance, including giving directions to local amenities and or travel
Ensure fire exits are kept clear and highlighted to the venue
Requirements
Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Professional appearance and attitude
Understanding of licensing laws and venue entry policies
Experience in conflict management and customer service (preferred but not essential)
5 year checkable work and address history ( BS7858)
Further information
A minimum hourly rate of £13.75 per hour ( comprising a pay rate of £12.27 and indicative holiday pay of £1.48. Holiday pay is indicative because it is accrued at 12.07% for every hour worked. If you work at a different rate the pay and holiday pay will change accordingly.
