Summary
Recruitment Professionals is recruiting on behalf of a well-established nursery in Finchley. We are seeking an experienced and confident Deputy Room Leader to support the management of a busy pre-school classroom and help deliver outstanding early years provision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Room Leader in the day-to-day running of the pre-school room.
- Help lead and motivate a team of practitioners within the classroom.
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS.
- Ensure a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for all children.
- Maintain strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues.
- Support safeguarding, welfare, and regulatory requirements at all times.
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- At least 1 year of recent experience working in a day nursery.
- Experience supporting or leading a room is desirable.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- A genuine passion for early years education and child development.
Details:
Salary: £30,000+ (depending on experience and qualifications)
Location: Finchley
Contract: All Year Round (nursery closed on Bank Holidays & 2 weeks over Christmas)
- Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Shifts: Weekly rotating shifts
- 7:30am – 4:30pm
- 9:30am – 6:30pm
- Setting: Pre-school room with 26 children and 5 staff
