Summary


An exciting opportunity has become available to join our dynamic and energetic service as Team ManagerofOxleas CAMHS Mental Health Support Team (MHST)within the Royal Borough ofGreenwich.

Mental Health Support Teams are part of an exciting National initiative, working in collaboration with education settings, to improve the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in response to the government’s Green Paper: Transforming children and young people’s mental health provision.

As Team Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective day to day delivery of the service within Greenwich, supporting the teams to provide a high quality, safe and responsive mental health and wellbeing service to children, young people and families within a number of local primary and secondary education settings.

You will work in close partnership with education colleagues, local authority and partner agencies and will develop strong working relationships with senior clinical, professional and managerial leads within Oxleas CAMHS and the wider Trust.

The service will be undergoing further expansion in line with National MHST targets and priorities, with the Team Manager leading the teams through this change to achieve the ambitious goals and continuing to improve the MHST service.

Oxleas offers a wide range of NHS healthcare services to people in community and secure environment settings. Our services include community health care such as district nursing and speech and language therapy, care for people with learning disabilities and mental health care such as psychiatry, nursing and therapies. Our multidisciplinary teams look after people of all ages and we work in close partnership with other parts of the NHS, local councils and the voluntary sector and through our new provider collaboratives. Our 4,300 members of staff work in many different settings including hospitals, clinics, prisons, secure hospitals, children’s centres, schools and people’s homes.

We have over 125 sites in a variety of locations in the South of England. In London we operate within the Boroughs of Bexley, Bromley Greenwich and into Kent. We manage hospital sites including Queen Mary’s Hospital, Sidcup and Memorial Hospital, Woolwich, as well as the Bracton Centre, our medium secure unit for people with mental health needs. We are the largest NHS provider of prison health services providing healthcare to prisons within Devon, Dorset, Bristol, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire, Kent and South London. Experience of managing staff, leading a team/service and change management are essential for this role. You will need to have excellent leadership, communication and management skills with a passion for early intervention mental health support for children, young people and families.
