Summary
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated Deputy Manager to support the Nursery Manager in the daily operations of our well-established community nursery. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality childcare while managing and inspiring our staff team.
Essential Candidate Profile:
Qualification: Level 3 Childcare qualification or higher.
Experience: Minimum 2 years in a management role within a childcare setting.
Knowledge: Expert understanding of EYFS, Safeguarding, Child Protection, and Health and Safety procedures.
Leadership: Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to lead, mentor, and support a team.
Core Responsibilities:
Operations: Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the setting and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Leadership: Provide guidance to staff, assist with recruitment, induction, and ongoing training and development.
Quality of Care: Ensure a safe, stimulating environment that meets high-quality childcare standards.
Policy & Compliance: Implement and monitor policies to ensure best practice and accurate record-keeping.
Communication: Maintain effective, professional relationships with parents and carers.
