Salary: £28,000 to £31,000 per annum
Do you have a background in engineering or manufacturing project support? My Bath-based client is looking for someone with proven administrative knowledge of technical, manufacturing or engineering projects.
The role is central to the efficient and professional execution of customer orders. The successful candidate will play a key part in expediting both internal and external supply chains, ensuring timely and accurate communication with customers, and maintaining project momentum. They’ll also represent the Projects Team in cross-functional meetings, gathering and relaying critical information to support delivery excellence.
Key Responsibilities – Project Support Administrator
• Utilise the ERP system to extract and analyse data, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in line with contractual obligations. Liaise effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders to support this.
• Track and monitor order book delivery, contributing to monthly project meetings with updates on Financial, Specification, Schedule, and Customer Relationship performance indicators.
• Take ownership of the arrears profile—driving cross-functional efforts to reduce overdue items and reporting progress with clarity and accountability.
• Prepare and submit high-quality business reports for customer sharing platforms, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
• Maintain comprehensive and well-structured project documentation and files, including reports compiled from databases, meetings, and various business inputs.
• Lead cross-departmental shipping meetings to align stakeholders and ensure logistical and operational planning is robust and proactive.
• Attend sales meetings on behalf of the Projects Team
• Maintain up-to-date registers, trackers, and records—ensuring data integrity across all project documentation.
• Uphold strong document management practices to support audit readiness and operational transparency.
• Prepare formal communications and documentation for external parties, including expediting lists and general correspondence.
• Manage the Projects Team inbox, ensuring effective email organisation, tagging, and record keeping for traceability and action tracking.
Qualifications & Requirements – Project Support Administrator
• Proven experience in an engineering or project-focused environment.
• Strong numerical capability and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (intermediate level or above); experience with ERP systems such as Syteline preferred.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Meticulous attention to detail with a methodical and thorough approach.
• Resilient under pressure, with a positive and professional attitude.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a creative and practical mindset.
• Collaborative team player with a can-do attitude.
• Eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC), if required.
