Farplants Sales Ltd, one of the leading suppliers of outdoor plants to garden centres across the UK, has an opportunity for an Area Leader to join our highly motivated and professional team at the Farplants Finishing Centre. Our 8000 square metre facility based in Barnham, West Sussex processes and dispatches over 11 million plants per year, all across the U.K.
This critical role will be part of a team of operatives aiming to deliver excellence and efficiency in all production related operations across the night shift. A good understanding of process will be a huge advantage, but what is even more important is you.
We are looking for a genuine and authentic candidate who can work within the positive, collaborative, and progressive culture that we have. It will be key that you can safely work as part of a team whilst ensuring the effective and successful day to day operation of your area under the influence of the Area Leaders and Supervisors.
You will be passionate about delivering the very best quality and achieving targets whilst thriving in a collaborative and often complex environment. You will be eager to strive towards the overall efficiency and success of your area and the Finishing Centre as a whole. You won’t be alone. You will be supported by a team of highly skilled colleagues, Supervisors and Managers who will be keen for you to succeed.
We work on annualised hours meaning during the peak season, the working days will be Sunday-Thursday and will be full shift. During the lower season, where there is still a need for seasonal workers, the pattern will change to Monday-Friday, and hours will change to reflect the needs of the business. Your minimum hours per week will be 16 but during our busy period, hours will be up to 44 per week.
