Summary
If successful, you will be join the community forensic team which sits within the Low Secure and Community Forensic Directorate alongside our low secure inpatient service provided by the Wells Road Centre. The service provides care to people from diverse variety of backgrounds and cultures and we would encourage a diverse range of applicants to apply. The Services consist of a Multi-Disciplinary group of staff with a supportive and friendly environment. Deliver a patient needs led occupational therapy programme using a range of assessments, treatment approaches and evaluation based on best available evidence, to a specific patient group. Be actively involved in the clinical risk assessment and development of risk management plans for patients and adhere to these. Effectively manage a nominated caseload under supervision. Adhere to local Forensic Quality Standards and RCOT Professional Standards for Occupational Therapy Practice, Conduct and Ethics (2021) Successfully time manage and prioritise areas of responsibility. Be an active member of the relevant multidisciplinary teams, providing clinical reports as necessary and actively contribute to the Care Programme Approach process. Attend and contribute to relevant meetings as required Advocate for the role of OT Communicate effectively within own service and with other colleagues. Co-work with members of other professions. To make appropriate referrals to support staff to deliver OT based intervention and regularly review effectiveness and outcomes. Be actively involved in Clinical Governance and quality assurance activities as required. Accurately record statistical information. Keep accurate, appropriate and contemporaneous patient records in accordance with the Forensic Information Governance Group and Trust Policy. Undertake administrative tasks as required by the service and the Directorate.
