Summary
Oakwrights Bath Ltd is a well-established joinery company based in Corsham, Wiltshire. We specialise in the manufacture of bespoke internal and external doors, frames and gates; casement, direct-glazed and sliding sash windows and glazed screens; staircases; and a whole host of other joinery items including internal fitments. An award-winning company, our typical projects are high-end country and town houses, barn conversions and commercial.
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Joinery CAD Technician.
• To plan and carry out detailed site visits.
• Using AutoCAD to produce technical detailed drawings for our construction clients and our private customers.
• Using JMS to produce cutting lists and drawings.
• To be fully aware of the approval process, making sure any alterations are marked and saved accordingly.
• Liaise with our Operations Manager and the production team to ensure any technical queries are resolved and designs are completed to spec.
• To be able to produce detailed cutting lists and follow through to marking out.
The ideal candidate will require the following skills and characteristics:
• A joinery background, ideally in bespoke joinery manufacturing to be able to turn your hand to any kind of bespoke project.
• An independent worker who is self-motivated but can also work well as part of a team when needed to step in to meet deadlines in an ever-growing team.
• Good numeracy and communication skills.
• A high attention to detail in every part of your work.
• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise your own workload to meet deadlines.
• Excellent and proactive communication skills, with the ability to build relations with our clients, discuss projects confidently, at the same time keeping everyone happy.
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook).
The role is full-time and permanent, with a minimum of 20 hours per week. Base salary will be negotiable based on experience. Normal benefits apply including holiday entitlement and NEST Pension Scheme. Commencement date: As soon as possible. All required/relevant training will be provided.
