We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic person to join our school community in a combined Catering Assistant and Cleaner/Caretaker role—though if only one role takes your fancy we would still love to hear from you!
Catering Assistant (7.5 hrs per week)
As part of the NYES Catering team, you’ll help deliver fresh, home‑cooked meals to pupils each day. Your role includes:
Collecting meals from Sand Hutton Primary
Transporting and serving lunches at Warthill
Washing up and maintaining excellent kitchen hygiene
Ensuring the dining area is clean and welcoming
You’ll receive full training, uniform, safety footwear and 46p per mile mileage for travel between schools (own vehicle with business insurance required).
Pay: £12.65 per hour

Cleaner & Caretaker (9.5 hrs per week)
Help keep our school safe, clean and secure. Duties include:
General cleaning: dusting, vacuuming, cleaning sanitary areas
Locking up, setting the alarm, and securing the site after work
Cleaning hours are 6 per week, Monday–Friday, with some flexibility.
Caretaking is 3.5 hours per week (term time plus 2 weeks in summer).
Pay: £12.65–£13.47 per hour
All roles are Monday- Friday, meaning no weekend work!
