About the Role
Are you passionate about supporting learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them overcome barriers to education? We are looking for a dedicated SEN Attendance and Outreach Officer to join our team. This vital role ensures that every learner has the opportunity to succeed by monitoring attendance, providing outreach support, and working closely with families and professionals.

What You’ll Do
Monitor and track attendance for SEN learners, ensuring accurate records.
Conduct home visits to students unable to attend college, delivering and collecting work.
Build strong relationships with parents/carers to address attendance concerns and support reintegration.
Collaborate with SENCO, safeguarding teams, and external agencies to provide holistic support.
Ensure compliance with SENAR protocols and contribute to EHCP reviews.
Promote positive attendance and engagement strategies.

What We’re Looking For
Strong understanding of SEN needs and SENAR processes.
Experience in attendance monitoring and welfare support.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for home visits.

Desirable:
Level 3 qualification in Education, Health & Social Care, or related field.
Experience in a SEND provision or similar educational setting.
Awareness of assistive technologies

Essential Requirements
Verified qualifications relevant to the role.
Relevant experience in education, SEN, or welfare support.
References: Minimum of 1 professional and 1 character reference.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain prior to employment).
