If the answer is yes then Acklam Grange School are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed member of staff for the role of Student Welfare Officer. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for supporting the safety, wellbeing, and success of young people. In this vital role, you will work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads (DDSL) to ensure every student receives the highest standards of care, protection, and support.

We are looking for someone with:
• Experience of working to support children’s learning and development gained in a relevant environment
• Experience of mentoring students to support social and emotional wellbeing
• Experience of delivering group activities to support the achievement and development of students
• Effective use of ICT to promote, support and enhance teaching and learning
• Well-developed interpersonal skills to be able to relate well to a wide range of stakeholders
• Good oral/written communication and negotiation skills
• Good ICT skills for learning and administrative requirements
