37 hours per week

Temporary 9 months from Start date to cover Secondment

Your role:

The Homes services forms part of the Place Directorate and is responsible for the letting and management of council homes. As administration assistant you will work alongside a dedicated team of staff to provide administration support. You will be required to efficiently deal with a range of enquiries from several sources including the telephone, letters, email and mobile phone applications.

You will be the first point of contact for all new enquiries and will act as liaison between customers, contractors, colleague’s other departments of the Council and partner agencies.

You will be responsible for general administration tasks such as ordering works and supplies, processing invoices, electronic filing and the preparation and posting out of correspondence. You will be required to input and extract data from a range of ICT systems, set up meetings and take minutes at meetings as and when required.

About you:

You must be able to demonstrate the following essential requirements:-

  • 3 GCSEs (A-C), including English Language and Mathematics or equivalent qualifications which demonstrate literacy and numeracy, or an equivalent level of experience.
  • Experience of working in an office environment.
