ESTATES ASSISTANT - Start Date: February 2026 - Fixed-Term for 12 months
Band 3, SCP 6-11, £25,989.00 - £28,141.00 per annum

Full-Time, 36.25 hours per week, all year round.

We are seeking an Estates Assistant to join our dedicated Trust Estates function. Working across multiple academy sites in the Northwest, you’ll play a key part in supporting the Estates Manager and Headteachers/site teams to maintain safe, well-kept, and welcoming learning environments for students and staff.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a tangible impact in a supportive team environment, with scope for training and professional development.
The Main purpose of the role will be to:
Assist with day-to-day estates and premises tasks, including basic maintenance, room setups, and equipment moves.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance works, safety checks, and contractor visits.
Support health & safety compliance by helping track statutory inspections and documentation.
Act as the first point of contact for premises queries and liaise professionally with staff, contractors, and visitors.
Help administer our vehicle fleet and equipment registers.
Travel between school sites as required (mileage allowance applicable).
What We’re Looking For:
Experience in estates, facilities, or premises support.
Strong organisational and IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to get involved in practical site tasks.
A good general education (GCSE Maths and English or equivalent).
Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
