About the Role
Facilities Management are seeking to appoint a Caretaker to join the team at Harwood Park Primary School. This is an important role within a busy and welcoming school environment, supporting the daytoday running, safety and cleanliness of the site.
Hours of Work: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Morning: 7:00am11:00am (Friday 7:00am10:30am)
Afternoon: 2:15pm5:45pm
Holidays must be taken during school holiday periods, in line with the school holiday pattern.
Please note that working hours may be subject to change depending on service needs. Overtime may be required from time to time and will be paid at the appropriate rate.
About you
We are looking for someone who is a hard-working, energetic and honest person with excellent customer care skills and the ability to provide a quality service at this busy school site.
The successful candidate will:
- Responsible for maintaining an excellent standard of cleanliness of designated areas in the building and duties will include toilets and associated facilities against an agreed cleaning specification and good attention to detail.
- Able to complete practical handyman tasks.
- Ability to work to tight timescales is essential and a flexible approach
- Be able to work independently using initiative and as part of a team
- Able to communicate clearly with and relate positively to all members of the school team.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety at work
- Ability to recognise the importance of ensuring a secure and safe environment of the site to include record keeping and the completion of compliance tasks.
Experience is essential, although persons with skills appropriate and a willing attitude are invited to apply.
Appointment to this post is subject to an enhanced DBS check, including a barred list check for the child workforce.
