Looking for a role where you can support people to live life their way?

LIFE by Be Caring is looking for full-time Support Workers to join our learning disabilities team across Newcastle.

You’ll work alongside people to provide individualised, person-centred support, helping them build independence, make choices, and live active, fulfilling lives in their communities.

Pay: £12.25 p/hr (non-complex rate) - £12.80 p/hr (complex rate)

Bonus schemes: up to £300 new starter, up to £300 Refer a Friend, up to £400 annual bonus. £25 birthday gift voucher.

We have various Support Worker roles available across Newcastle working within various services.

Full & Part-time roles - Shifts vary but our recruitment team will discuss this with you further.
Weekend working on a rota basis.

Job Role
You don’t need a degree or formal care qualifications to be a great Support Worker. If you’re kind, patient, and willing to learn, we’ll support you with full training and guidance.

As a Support Worker at LIFE by Be Caring, you’ll build positive, trusting relationships with the people you support and their families, helping individuals to live meaningful lives and reach their full potential.

As a Support Worker, you will:
- Build supportive relationships by being calm, engaging, and adaptable, learning alongside the person you support
- Communicate with care and respect, listening to understand each person’s needs, wishes, goals, and ambitions
- Promote safety, dignity, and privacy, always acting in the person’s best interests
- Encourage involvement and confidence, supporting people to develop new skills, build relationships, and take part in their local community
- Support independence and choice, helping people make decisions, manage daily life, and, where appropriate, handle their finances

Training
- Paid induction training: classroom-based, includes shadowing and additional online modules.
- Additional Specialist Training: provided to all new recruits - equipping you to meet the needs of the people we support and enabling you to provide person-centred approach.
- Training development: funded Level 3 and other accredited courses.
