An excellent opportunity for an Experienced CNC Programmer to join a well-established company.

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.
Salary: Up to £50,000 Per Annum, Depending on Experience.
Location: Burton-on-Trent DE13.
Schedule: 39hr Day shift Mon-Thu 7:30 – 16:30, Fri 7:30 – 12:30.

About The Company:

They are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join their close-knit team in Burton-on-Trent due to business expansion. The company produce a vast array of parts that cover numerous sectors within engineering. From one off parts to large batch work focusing on high value and technical parts predominantly out of exotic materials. They are looking for a confident CNC programmer that takes pride in their craftmanship and has a strong attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Fanuc machines, either Milling or Turning. You will be responsible for programming, setting and operating parts from billet to final part. Potential room for growth within the company.

Key responsibilities:

• Create and optimise CNC programs using the machine controls, offline programming would be considered.
• Set up machines by selecting the correct work holding, tooling and approach to all Jobs
• Proficiency in using measuring equipment such as micrometers, bore gauges and thread gauges
• How to interpret and read first hand and third hand 2D drawings in Imperial and in Metric
• Being able to work within a team and be flexible where needed through the business

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience as an online CNC Programmer
• Proficient in producing Programs on Fanuc control
• Read and interpret technical drawings
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• good communication skills
• Can work independently and as part of a team
• Collaborating with production managers and other team members to get the most efficiency out of the machines
• Edit pre-written programs

Preferred skills but not essential:

• Knowledge of working with Exotic materials; duplex, Inconel, Titanium
• Offline programming for future optimisation of business
• Creating Cad drawings on AutoCAD or similar software
• Programming both Milling and Turning
• Knowledge of Doosan Machines
