Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual to plan and prepare Operational Orders for a wide range of events across Lincolnshire. From major public gatherings and sporting fixtures to festivals, demonstrations, and specialist policing operations, you will play a key role in ensuring events are safely and effectively managed. This role also includes co‑ordinating Mutual Aid, providing logistical support, and representing Lincolnshire Police at key planning forums.
What You’ll Be Doing
Preparing Operational Orders for events requiring police deployment
Producing notifications for non‑policed events
Working closely with the Resource Management Unit to plan staffing requirements
Liaising with Licensing, event organisers, and other agencies to support safe event delivery
Producing event‑specific risk assessments and maintaining accurate operational records
Acting as a point of contact for advice on safe event planning
Attending Safety Advisory Groups (SAGs) and carrying out During Performance Inspections
Advising senior management on event safety, policing considerations, and charging policies
Supporting multi‑agency event planning work through the Lincolnshire Event Safety Partnership
Co‑ordinating Regional and National Mutual Aid requests
Undertaking command, control, or logistics roles during events as required

What We’re Looking For
We are seeking someone with strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the confidence to work with partners at all levels. You’ll need a flexible approach, as some evening and weekend work is required to meet operational demands. You must also be willing to travel to various locations when needed and hold a current full driving licence. A commitment to high professional standards and collaborative working is essential.
