Summary
Please note, at this stage, the role is open only to internal staff (including NHSP and Agency staff currently on placement within our organisation) and staff substantively employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts and the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB). Any individual who is at risk of redundancy will be given priority, provided they meet the essential criteria.

• Support and mentor learners throughout their journey.
• Collaborate with clinical teams and academic partners to deliver high-quality placements.
• Champion best practice in clinical education and workforce development.
• Act as a role model for professional standards and compassionate care.
What We’re Looking For
• Current NMC registration and strong clinical background.
• Minimum 4 years post-registration experience in Mental Health or Learning Disabilities.
• Experience in clinical education, mentorship, and delivering training/presentations.
• Excellent communication, organisational skills, and ability to work independently.

• • Facilitate learning and developmentin placement areas across Kent and Medway.
• Identify suitable placementsand match students to appropriate learning environments.
• Conductplacement visitsto support Practice Assessors and students.
• Lead and facilitate the Preceptorship programme, including teaching sessions, reflective practice, and guidance for Preceptees, Preceptors, and Managers.
• Support Practice Assessorsthrough training, updates, and provision of resources.
• Monitor placement qualitythrough evaluations and maintain accurate records for CQC, NMC, universities, and other key stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with teams toincrease student placement capacity, providing guidance and support to Practice Assessors and Managers, and monitoring progress and quality.
• Represent the Trust confidently in meetings with internal teams and university partners.

• You will need to beself-motivated and organised, with the ability to work independently.
• Comfortable working with screens for extended periods and proficient inExcel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Able to work in ahybrid model, including working from home and traveling to your base and placement areas as required.
The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
