Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, caring, and flexible Temporary Nursery Practitioner to join our nursery team and support with staff absence cover.
Hours of Work
*Fridays are essential: 9:00am – 3:30pm (6.5 hours)
*Additional sessions available Monday–Thursday, 9:00am – 3:30pm
*Additional days will be discussed and agreed in advance
*Opportunity to work one or more additional days, subject to availability and operational need
This role is ideal for a practitioner seeking flexible temporary work with a regular Friday commitment.
Pay: £12.75 per hour (Level 2 or Level 3 qualified) + holiday pay
Key Responsibilities
*Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
*Support children’s learning, development, and wellbeing
*Maintain a safe, secure, and inclusive environment
*Observe, assess, and support children’s individual needs
*Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet statutory staffing and ratio requirements
*Uphold the nursery’s safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare policies at all times
Requirements
*Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification
*Good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
*A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
*Reliability, flexibility, and a professional approach
*Availability to work every Friday
*An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
