Summary
Neway International are seeking a Reablement Assistant – Social Care Non‑Qualified to join our client based with Liverpool City Council.
Location: Upper Baker Street, Liverpool, L6 1NE
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am–4pm
Start Date: 26 January 2026
Pay Rates:
• PAYE: £14.93 per hour
• Umbrella/Ltd: £19.44 per hour

The Role
The Reablement Assistant will work directly with service users to promote independence, enhance daily living skills and support individuals to remain safely in their own homes. This role involves personal care, practical support, and close partnership working with allied health and social care professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Support service users with physical, social and emotional needs as outlined in individual care plans.
Provide personal care and assist with daily living tasks in line with agreed support plans.
Work with individuals to develop, improve and maintain independence using appropriate equipment.
Liaise with other professionals to minimise risk and promote safe, effective care.
Contribute to assessments, reviews and the implementation of person‑centred support plans.
Promote dignity, independence and respect for cultural, spiritual and religious needs.
Maintain accurate records and report any significant changes to the Line Manager.
Support service users in activities and recreational pursuits.
Work flexibly to meet the changing needs of the service.
Adhere to all City Council policies, procedures, health and safety requirements and anti‑discriminatory practice.
Candidate Requirements
Must have an up‑to‑date Moving and Handling Certificate
Must not require sponsorship
Preferably five years’ relevant work history
Experience within social care, reablement or community support
Ability to work collaboratively within an integrated team
Strong communication, record‑keeping and person‑centred practice
Commitment to promoting independence, dignity and safe working practices
