Summary
Administration & Accounts Support Assistant (6 month Maternity cover)
Rochdale
£12.21 - £13.00 per hour
Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm (30 mins lunch break)
About the Role
We’re recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established motor business in Rochdale for an Administration & Accounts Support Assistant on a 6 month maternity cover basis. This role is ideal for someone highly organised, detail-oriented and keen to build a career within accounts and administration. This role will suit an experienced candidate who is ready to hit the ground running
Key Responsibilities
Processing customer vehicle orders and all associated documentation
Supporting purchase ledger and sales ledger administration
Assisting with bank reconciliations and general accounts administration
Supporting the Accountant with month-end paperwork preparation
Liaising with Sales, Service, and internal departments to ensure smooth vehicle handovers
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with dealership processes
About You
Previous experience in vehicle administration, motor trade admin, or dealership accounts support is highly desirable
Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with customers and internal teams
Organised, reliable, and able to manage routine tasks accurately
Comfortable working as part of a small team as well as independently
This role does not require formal accounting qualifications (AAT/CIMA); practical experience and a strong admin background are more important
Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle
