Job Description

  • Ensure smooth running of the department with Assistant Restaurant Manager and deputise in their absence, assisting with rotas and holiday planning.
  • Assist with scheduling and other administrative duties as needed.
  • Advocates sound financial/business decision making.
  • Drive constant innovation.
  • Maintain a positive work environment by fostering teamwork and cooperation.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Providing an excellent standard of customer service, efficient and prompt to all clients, providing a feeling for clients to relax away from the workplace.
  • Taking an active role in upselling items and promoting sales through promotions whilst being sensitive to client’s needs.
  • Ensure menus are spelt correctly before service, monitor digital screens and signage is displayed correctly.
  • Assist towards achieving financial targets such as monitoring waste with regards to our environmental impact and portion control and stock inventory obligations.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of restaurant team members.
  • Monitor restaurant service to identify and address any issues or bottlenecks in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all staff are briefed and in place for service, monitoring their customer service along with standards required such as dress code policies.
  • Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional and effective manner and escalate as necessary and encourage open communication channels to gather feedback.
  • Assist and help identify training needs in team members, ensuring relevant training is carried out.
  • Communicate regularly with restaurant management to report on team performance, address any concerns, and implement improvements as requested.
  • Motivate and lead team - lead by example, acting as a role model for the team, demonstrating excellent customer service and leadership skills.
  • Ensure all restaurant policies, procedures, and safety protocols are followed by the team.
  • Ensure due diligence records are completed as requested, all accidents are reported, all legal training is completed and monitor allergen policy.
  • Monitor completion of cleaning schedules and filed weekly.


Qualifications

Essential:

  • Previous supervisory experience of managing a team in a fast-paced, pressured environment
  • Excellent level of both written and spoken English
  • Displaying a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Organisational skills and ability to plan ahead
  • Strong communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work using own initiative

Desirable:

  • Health & Safety Level 2 qualifications
