Summary

To dispense medicines in an accurate and timely manner for inpatients and outpatients as directed by MMPTs using the pharmacy computer system and automated dispensing devices where in place. To participate in the ward top-up service To participate in ordering stock and non-stock items for named patients. To participate in ensuring patients have sufficient supply of medications during their inpatient stay. To support and participate in monthly audits to ensure standards are maintained at ward level. To participate in the provision of a safe, efficient and timely pharmaceutical distribution service to all customers. To efficiently use the pharmacy computer system to manage stock control. To communicate effectively with a variety of support staff and customers e.g., purchasing dispensaries and ward staff.
