Summary
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and skilled chef/cook to prepare and cook menu and speciality dishes. Keys responsibilities are to:-
• Prepare, assemble and cook menu/special dishes for our 70+ residents
• Provide high quality meals to our residents and staff
• Assist in the general cleaning of the kitchen
• Provide a high quality service to all users.
In addition, you will support health and hygiene requirements, assist with till work and be involved in stock control and menu planning.
You will work 10 hours per shift. Times may vary dependent on business needs and you will be required to work additional shifts to cover for company events and staff holidays. Occasional evening work may be required to cover on-site functions.
Experience required
You will ideally be experienced in working in a large-scale full-on catering facility, have worked in fresh food kitchens and have a keen interest in cooking a variety of wholesome home cooked meals to produce high quality food from a hub kitchen. A positive attitude is essential as well as excellent customer service skills and be able to maintain confidentiality. Food Hygiene level 2 and 3 required, although training can be provided.
