Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and environmentally conscious individual to join our team as a Litter Picker. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in public areas to promote a safe and welcoming environment for the community. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and possess good communication skills to interact with the public effectively.
Working Tuesdays and Wednesdays 7am-10am, will be required to cover other staff members holiday or sickness
Rate of pay is £12.21 per hour
This position is to help keep Gallagher Retail Park clean from litter and debris
Duties
Collect litter and waste from designated areas using appropriate tools and safety equipment
Dispose of collected rubbish in authorised waste disposal sites
Report any hazardous conditions or maintenance issues encountered during patrols
Assist with organising community clean-up events when required
Engage politely with members of the public, providing information or assistance as needed
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations
Requirements
Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate mobility across various locations
Good command of English, both spoken and written, for effective communication
Previous experience in customer service or public-facing roles is advantageous
Excellent communication skills to interact courteously with the public and team members
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift light to moderate loads
Organised, reliable, and able to follow instructions accurately
