We are looking to recruit a Debt Advice Coordinator to set up a new Debt Advice Centre in Cardiff, Wales.This is a two-year fixed term post. The successful candidate will be accountable to both the Financial Inclusion Leadership Team and the Salvation Army Divisional Team. You will need to be able to attend departmental meetings in Cardiff and training as required.Key Responsibilities: Supported by the Salvation Army’s national Financial Inclusion Development & Quality managers, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a Debt Advice Team of volunteers, act as lead adviser supporting clients in finding a debt solution, whilst providing financial capability sessions.You will be responsible for managing the risk to the Salvation Army Service by ensuring your teams’ case work meets all regulatory requirements.The successful candidate will have:The ability and desire to support those people burdened with debt. Good communication skills are essential in this position, in addition to administration, IT and experience of working within the advice sector. You will need to be able to work on your own initiative and in a team.
