Summary
P+S Recruitment are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking Site Operator to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full-time, permanent basis.
Role Summary:
Handling and processing of fluids and bulk materials in connection with waste treatment services at various sites, attending call outs as per customer requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
• Proactively support and embed a generative safety culture.
• Ensure processing rates are maintained to a high standard.
• Ensure that all equipment is maintained and functional.
• Ensure the site is compliant with permits, operating licenses and the IMS at all times.
• Assisting with Supervising operator(s) to ensure all work is completed in line with customer requirements at Great Yarmouth or customer facilities.
• Ensuring the sites are always kept clean and tidy.
• Performing routine maintenance of plant equipment and site vehicles including forklift trucks including reporting any defects to the site Supervisor.
• Ensuring the safe loading/unloading of waste material whilst recording and reporting on quantities received / dispatched at all sites.
• Playing a full and effective role as a member of the industrial tank cleaning team.
• Undertaking specific tasks as per business requirements.
• Maintaining continuous professional development.
• Assist at other sites as required.
• Working way from home when required.
• Any other reasonable duties as and when required.
Person Specification:
• Maths, English & Chemistry – Standard Grade level.
• IOSH Working Safely.
• Forklift Certificate of Basic Training.
• Level 2 Award in Confined Space High Risk.
• Water Jetting – Safety Awareness and Surface Preparation.
• Previous experience working in a similar environment required.
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in written.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
