Summary
Security Officer - Festival Place Shopping Centre
Pay rate: £13.47 (Salaried £29,603.14 PA)
Hours: Full time - 42 hours on average per week
Shifts - 4 on 4 off days and nights
Fixed Term 3 Month Contract
Shift times - 0700-1900 + 1900-0700 - Paid Breaks
Mitie is looking for security officers who can deliver unprecedentedcustomer service whilst creating a safe shopping environment, free fromcrime and the fear of crime for customers and colleagues. Working in aShopping Centre Environment no 2 days are the same.

Festival Place is a 1.1m sq ft shopping centre situated in the centre ofBasingstoke, just off the M3, housing over 140 big brand stores includingNext, Marks & Spencer, Apple, and H&M. It is home to over 20 mouth-watering eateries including BrewDog, Côte Brasserie, Las Iguanas, AskItalian, Pizza Express, Wagamama, Pret, Five Guys, and Nando's and a 10screen Vue multiplex cinema. Festival Place provides you with a safeshopping experience. We employ a number of overt security measures,but also operate a number of unseen, covert security measures for yourprotection. Main duties:
-To deliver industry leading customer service
-To deter violence, public order or ASB Offences
-To conduct patrols of the Shopping Centre
-Liaising between CCTV Operators and the Duty Management Team to support the reduction crime and stock loss for our retailers
-Liaise with the store management teams and carrying out regular "Buddy" store visits to assist with Crime Prevention advice, identification of offenders and crime reporting
-Work in collaboration with the Police and crime partnerships where required to foster a great working relationship to support the reduction of crime in the Town Centre
-To wear a Body Worn Camera to support in the reduction of crime and increase colleague and customer safety
-To highlight and address and health and safety concerns
-Testing of life safety systems as required
-Attending fire alarm activations and assisting in evacuations in accordance with the Centre's emergency plans
