Assistant Headteacher – Post 16 Education and Welfare (L10-14)
Required for September 2026
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative and inspirational leader to join our school. KGGS is a high performing and popular selective all girls’ grammar school, located in the market town of Grantham, Lincolnshire.
The school has a large sixth form made up of between 300-320 students with 67% of A-level grades achieved in 2025 being at A*-B and positive value added in the sixth form in both 2024 and 2025. This placed us as one of the top state schools in the East Midlands according to the Sunday Times Parent Power Schools guide in 2025 and comfortably within the top 200 secondary schools nationally.
This is an exciting time to be joining Kesteven and Grantham Girls’ School with the opportunity to be working with a strong, supportive and experienced body of staff alongside students who are committed to their studies and determined to achieve highly.
The successful candidate will lead our sixth form team, working closely with both pastoral and support staff. Alongside this you will line manage a number of key departments, work closely with the headteacher and other members of the senior team in helping shape the strategic leadership of the school whilst having the opportunity to develop further as a highly competent and successful leader.
The successful candidate will also be a skilled classroom practitioner and be expected to teach up to and including A-level standard.
