Summary

1:1 Teaching Assistant - ASD

Greenford

There's nothing worse than walking into a classroom and feeling out of your depth. Not knowing the students, not feeling supported, or being placed somewhere that just doesn't play to your strengths. That's exactly what we don't want for you.

We're working closely with a fantastic primary school in Greenford, and with the support of Zest Education, this role is about finding the right fit for you, not just filling a gap.

What your day will really feel like.

You'll be supporting a pupil in Year 1 who has Autism and ADHD, in a school that genuinely values structure, consistency, and and the wellbeing of both their staff and children emotional safety

Why people choose roles like this

• You want work that matters, where you can see the impact you make

• You value routine, support, and clear expectations

• You enjoy being a positive role model - especially for children who need one most

• You want to grow into education or SEND without being overwhelmed

What Zest Education does differently for you

• We take time to understand where you thrive - so you're never placed somewhere unsuitable

• Honest conversations about the role before you start - no surprises

• Ongoing check-ins and support once you're in school

• Access to training and development to build confidence and skills over time

Our goal is simple: you feel prepared, supported, and valued - not just on day one, but throughout your placement.

This role would suit you if you:

• Are calm, patient, and consistent

• Want to be a positive influence in young people's lives

• Communicate well and work comfortably as part of a team

• Have experience (or interest) in sports, creative arts, youth work, care, or similar backgrounds

Experience with ASD is helpful, but not essential.
What matters most is your attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.

What's in it for you

• A supportive, well-structured school environment

• Training and professional development opportunities

• A realistic pathway to a permanent role following a successful placement

• The reassurance that you're never on your own - Zest is with you every step

If you've ever thought, "I want to work in SEN, but I want to be supported properly" - this could be exactly what you've been looking for.
