We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in South West London. This is a full time long term position supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs.
About the Role
- Full time long term HLTA position in a primary school
- Working 1:1 with pupils with SEN, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, speech & language needs, and social difficulties
- Supporting learning, behaviour, and emotional regulation
- Delivering small interventions and occasionally covering classes
- Working closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and external professionals
- Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment
Were Looking For
- HLTA qualification or strong experience covering classes
- Proven experience supporting children with ASD, ADHD, and other additional needs
- Confident working 1:1 and adapting learning to meet individual needs
- Strong behaviour skills and a calm, patient approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- A genuine passion for supporting children with SEN
