Summary
Job Title: Senior Team Leader
Region: Stoke-on-Trent ( ST1 )
Temp to Perm vacancy
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management: Lead and supervise a team of yard workers, ensuring efficient workflow and high productivity
Operations Oversight: Oversee daily operations, including loading/unloading timber, stock management, and maintaining yard cleanliness
Safety Compliance: Ensure all team members adhere to safety regulations and company policies. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments
Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and ensure accurate record-keeping
Customer Service: Coordinate with customers and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues
Training and Development: Provide training and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on yard operations, inventory status, and team performance
Salary: £17.96 per hour (£36,500 per annum)
All overtime X1.66
Monday to Friday - Rotating
Week1: 06:00 to 14:00
Week 2: 14:00 to 22:00
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within a timber yard or related industry
Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and time management abilities
Safety Awareness: In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using inventory management systems and other relevant software
Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions
