What skills and experience we're looking for
The Stephen Longfellow Academy is seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Health & Wellbeing Coach. This role is of great importance to our work as an Academy, the Health and Wellbeing coach will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality health and wellbeing programmes across all phases (5-16), ensuring an integrated and holistic approach to support all students. The health and wellbeing lead will lead a team of health and wellbeing coaches and counsellors. The role focuses on managing, mentoring and developing the team, whilst fostering collaboration and innovation to meet the diverse needs of the students.
Potential applicants should have:
• Grade C/4 and above in GCSE English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
• An understanding of the particular factors and issues faced by children and young people in relation to the maintenance of good mental health and emotional wellbeing.
• Strong emotional intelligence.
• The ability to relate well to adults and children/young people.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to work calmly under pressure.
