Otley Street Community Nursery school is unique setting in Skipton. It is a maintained nursery school for 3-4year olds with school registered childcare provision for 2-3 year olds term time.
Pupils: Circa 40 children across the 3-4 age range, 5 part time places for children aged 2-3 years.
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational Headteacher to lead this well established and popular nursery school. We are looking for a creative and passionate Early Years Leader to support our on-going thirst for improvement and to ensure that our nursery continues to support families, include the most vulnerable and inspire all our children’s learning. This is an exciting and unique role which requires leading a shared vision, strategy and ethos across the Nursery School and Child Care provision. This role carries a teaching responsibility of 0.5.
We are seeking an outstanding educational professional who:
• Is an inspirational teacher with a strong vision for Early Years education and Inclusion.
• Has the highest expectation of quality provision for ages 2-5 years.
• Will support staff and governors to build on the previous success of the Nursery School.
• Continue to involve the school in the wider community, build upon existing partnerships and develop strong relationships with all our stakeholders.
• Has excellent interpersonal skills based on effective communication and leadership.
• Can demonstrate resilience proven by experience of working in a range of contexts.
