What skills and experience we're looking for
6.25 Hours per week (11.45am – 1.00pm - Monday to Friday) - Term Time only - Required February 2026
We are seeking to appoint a Lunchtime Controller to join our warm and friendly team at Moorlands Primary School, where you will be a valuable part of the team and help provide a secure and happy environment for children at lunchtime through supervision inside the school, within outside play areas and within the dining area.
Moorlands is in a residential area of Tilehurst, is set in a lovely green space and we pride ourself on putting our children at the centre of all that we do.
We are looking for someone who has:
• lots of energy, enthusiasm and patience
• is flexible and can work well within a team
• has a sense of humour
• Ability to communicate effectively with other staff and pupils in the school.
• Patience, fairness and a responsible attitude.
• Show an understanding for Safeguarding and Keeping Children Safe in Education
Main duties involve:
• Supervising the clearing up of games and toys (inside and outside)
• Using the School’s Behaviour Policy to manage pupil behaviour.
• Assisting children in the dining room and encouraging healthy eating.
