Are you a passionate and dedicated Social Worker, Best Interest assessor or Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) looking for an exciting new opportunity? Tameside is seeking committed professionals to join our mental health team, working collaboratively with various NHS mental health services and the voluntary sector. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with moderate to severe mental health needs while contributing to the development and growth of our evolving service.

Your Role

As a Mental Health Social Worker, you will:

  • Assess, coordinate, commission, and deliver individual care and social support packages.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to support individuals with complex mental health needs.
  • Ensure the Council’s obligations under the Care Act and other statutory responsibilities are met.
  • Support young people transitioning from children’s services to adult mental health services.

About You

What We’re Looking For:

  • A must: qualified Social Worker with relevant experience in adult social care and mental health practice.
  • A must: current driving licence and access to a vehicle. Reasonable adjustments under the equality act can be considered however travel out of Greater Manchester is a routine part of this post.
