Summary
Behavioural Support Worker
We are looking for a Behavioural Support Worker to support the provision of a range of assessments and interventions informed by a Positive Behavioural Support approach.
When indicated to undertake functional assessment of behaviours that challenge for clients eligible to the service under the supervision of the services behavioural support practitioner and/or clinical psychologists.
To work alongside clients, families, paid carers and other professionals to support understanding and responses to behaviours that are challenging in line with PBS principles, Positive & Proactive Care: reducing the need for restrictive interventions (2014) and NICE Guidance (including NG11 & NG93).
Interventions will include working across a variety of settings, including family homes, residential/supported living and day services and will involve working as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team.
To assist in delivering relevant interventions to increase the knowledge and skills of the appropriate stakeholders.
To work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and wider stakeholders to deliver on the Transforming Care Agenda and local delivery plan for clients supported by the service.
To contribute, under supervision, the delivery of positive behavioural support informed interventions to people with a learning disability.
