Your New Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You'll be confident stepping into the classroom, delivering planned lessons, and supporting pupils with a range of needs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading whole-class learning in the absence of the teacher
- Delivering small-group interventions and targeted support
- Assisting with planning, preparation, and assessment
- Supporting students with additional needs, ensuring inclusive practice
- Working closely with teachers to raise attainment and engagement
- Helping to create a positive, purposeful learning environment
- Providing feedback on pupil progress and contributing to team discussions
