About Us:

Breakaway Short Stay Services and Ael y Bryn Emergency Accommodation in Bridgend provide vital short-term and emergency support for adults with learning disabilities. Our services are designed to promote stability, reassurance, and wellbeing during times of change or crisis. We are committed to delivering person-centred, flexible care that prioritises safety, dignity, and independence.

The Role:

We are looking for enthusiastic and resilient individuals to join our team as Social Care Workers. In this role, you will:

- Provide practical, emotional, and person-centred support tailored to individuals staying for short-stay or emergency accommodation.

- Help individuals settle into their stay, creating a safe, welcoming, and structured environment.

- Support with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.

- Promote positive routines, meaningful activity, and community access where appropriate.

- Respond confidently and effectively to a range of needs and behaviours, ensuring people feel respected and well-supported.

- Work as part of a dynamic, responsive team, receiving full training and regular supervision.

- Competitive pay rates: £14.13 per hour, £18.84 per hour on weekends

£13.47 per hour for night shifts during the week, and £22.45 per hour for night shifts on weekends.
