We are now seeking an Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team at DEFRA BCP, Ashford, TN25 6GE.
What you’ll do:Carry out specialized repairs, maintenance, and installation of all HVAC and air conditioning systems, plant, and equipment.
Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs in line with your qualifications and skill set.
Perform general handyman tasks, including minor building repairs, light bulb replacement, and other basic mechanical/electrical duties.
Maintain accurate records using the CAFM system, ensuring all work complies with statutory regulations, F-Gas standards, and company procedures.
Collaborate with colleagues and build professional relationships with stakeholders.
Ensure Health & Safety, PPE, and equipment are used correctly, and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
Attend training, toolbox talks, and meetings as required.
Complete additional tasks as directed by Sodexo management to meet operational requirements.
Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer in commercial or industrial environments.
Relevant trade qualifications: F-Gas Category 1, NVQ Level 2/3 in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
Flexible and proactive, able to work across 4 on / 4 off day and night shifts.
Excellent team player with the ability to build partnerships and strong customer relationships.
Able to work independently, respond to challenges, and deliver high-quality results.
IT literate, able to use systems for quality assurance and reporting.
