We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic candidate to the role of band 6 Clinic nurse for our HIV Outpatient department based at North Middlesex hospital. It is an exciting time to join our service as this is a newly developed role, we are currently in the process of expanding our services. Our department is due to move into a new purpose build clinic within the main hospital in March 2026.
With developments in HIV treatment, we have a large cohort of service users on long acting injectables and are working towards offering this to more service users in 2026.
The post is offered at full time working Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm and does not include weekend or bank holiday working as standard. As a band 6 clinic nurse, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful day to day running of the clinic and nursing team, with support from Clinic manager and CNS. You will work closely with the Multidisciplinary Team to develop the department, focusing on developing and engaging your clinical team and improving the patient pathway.
You will need to be passionate in providing first class HIV care and a strong advocate for our service users. Be committed to delivering high standards of care; be fluent in people first language and need to ensure that all the people use our services have a positive experience.
The postholder should ideally have experience in taking charge and day to day running of clinics. Our nursing team is very small compared to others within the hospital but work hard to support each other and provide excellent care to our service users. The nursing team play a key role in provision of long-acting injectable ARV and supporting those newly commenced on these treatments.

Our HIV service comprises of the Alexander Pringle Centre (APC) outpatient clinic which caters to people living with HIV in the local and wider geographical area. people attend the unit for regular appointments, blood tests, long-acting injectable treatments, and ongoing support.
While the HIV team do not have their own dedicated inpatient ward, they work alongside the wider inpatient teams and there is opportunity to develop skills and knowledge across a wide field of nursing care. We also work collaboratively with the HIV clinical team at Royal Free site and aim to develop this relationship further in 2026.
