A home, not just a service
Bradbury House is a unique and exceptional nursing facility catering to 24 individuals with a diverse range of complex physical disabilities and sensory impairments. Our residents may have conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI) resulting from accidents or strokes, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Pitt-Hopkins Syndrome, and more. The home boasts an array of amenities and services, including access to the local community, a sensory garden and room, beauty therapy options, pet therapy, and a rich variety of engaging activities. Bradbury House is only care home in the area for young people with complex physical disabilities and maintaining a person-centred approach. Our welcoming and homely environment, diverse activities, and the presence of a highly skilled and dedicated team further distinguish Bradbury House as a top choice for individuals seeking comprehensive care and support in the region.
Your working hours
This is a part-time role working 21 hours per week across a minimum of 4 days, with flexibility to work across weekdays and weekends as part of a rota. You may also be asked to assist with on-call duties to support the smooth running of the service.
We’ll work with you to agree a pattern that suits both the needs of the service and you.

Enhanced pay: £1.00 per hour will only apply to night working (8pm Monday to 7am Friday) and weekend working (8pm Friday to 7am Monday). This does not apply to Sleep-Ins.
What you’ll do
• Plan, organise, and deliver social and recreational activities that enhance daily living
• Support customers to explore new hobbies, interests, and outings
• Act as escort/driver for outings when required
• Work with volunteers and other team members to ensure inclusive, person-centred experiences
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements
• Promote independence, choice, and wellbeing for each customer
What helps you shine here
• Experience in activities or social care roles, supporting people with disabilities
• Level 2 Activities qualification (or working towards) advantageous
• Full, clean driving licence if driving is required
• Flexible, creative, and compassionate approach
• Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
