A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am 20 years old. I have learning disabilities and autism. I live in Tonyrefail. I go to Bridgend College 4 days per week and work 1 day per week. I need a PA for 4-6 hours per week to help me meet my friends, go to coffee shops, walks in parks, go shopping and occasionally look after me at home.
PURPOSE OF JOB
To support me to access the community and socialise with my friends.
HOURS OF WORK
I have 4 hours per week during term time and 6 hours per week during school holidays.
Hours are used flexibly but are usually after college, sometimes at the weekend.
RATES OF PAY
£13.10 per hour plus 40p per mile.
TASKS INVOLVED
Helping me to be as independent as possible.
Supporting me to access the community.
Taking me to coffee shops.
Enabling me to socialise with my friends.
Going shopping together.
Going for walks together.
Occasionally supporting me at home.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
A car driver with business class insurance.
Someone who is kind and gentle.
A person who can work the hours flexibly.
Having a soft voice is beneficial.
A reliable and punctual person.
ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid Monthly and appropriate holiday pay given.
The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK
