Looking for a role where you can truly enjoy being a vet again? This is a rare opportunity to join a highly respected, independent veterinary practice in the heart of Stamford — a practice that genuinely values clinical freedom, teamwork, and work–life balance.

A fixture of the local community since the 1850s, this ISFM- and RCVS-accredited practice blends a rich heritage with cutting-edge technology. You’ll be working in a beautifully equipped environment that includes:

• Class 4 K-Laser
• IDEXX in-house laboratory & cytology
• Digital X-ray, ultrasound & endoscopy
• Dedicated dental suite & multi-parameter monitors
• Acupuncture and alternative therapies
• State-of-the-art PMS with AI dictation software to streamline your notes

Everything is in place to allow you to focus on what matters most — delivering outstanding patient care.

You’ll ideally bring at least a couple of years’ clinical experience and a passion for both surgery and consulting, but the position is open to confident new graduates as well. Whether you’re starting your career or looking for a role with greater autonomy and support, you’ll find a clear development pathway tailored to your goals. You’ll enjoy:

• True clinical freedom with support always available
• Regular case discussions with experienced colleagues and visiting specialists
• A collaborative, non-hierarchical culture where everyone learns from one another
• If you’re approachable, confident, and enjoy being part of a close-knit team, you’ll fit right in!

You’ll be joining a warm, friendly and highly supportive team who take their work seriously — but not themselves. The practice currently includes:

• 3 Veterinary Surgeons
• 6 Nurses
• Dedicated reception team and an experienced Practice Manager

With excellent support staff and designated receptionists, nurses are able to remain fully clinically focused and support you to the best of their abilities.

Stamford is a charming market town known for its independent shops, cafés, pubs, and beautiful surroundings. Perfectly located on the borders of Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Rutland and Northamptonshire, it offers excellent commuting links and a wonderful quality of life.
