Summary

Deputy Nursery Manager (Level 3+) – Term Time Only

This nursery provides a safe and stimulating environment where children explore, learn, and play both indoors and in a well-designed outdoor area. As the Deputy Nursery Manager you will support staff, maintain high-quality practice, and staying actively involved with children.

Before You Apply

  • This role is not suitable for candidates without recent nursery or early years experience.
  • A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above) is required.
  • Applicants must be confident supporting staff, delivering EYFS practice, and managing routines independently.

  • Pay: Up to £16 per hour
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–3:45pm
  • Contract: Permanent, term time only
  • Ofsted: Rated Good

What You’ll Need

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
  • Recent experience in a nursery or early years setting
  • Knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted expectations
  • Ability to supervise, support, and develop staff confidently
  • Clear communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
  • Prior leadership, deputy, or management experience

  • Assist the Nursery Manager in running daily operations
  • Support staff development and performance, coaching as needed
  • Ensure consistent delivery of EYFS practice across all rooms
  • Remain hands-on with children, modelling high-quality care and learning
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organised environment
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery procedures
