This role is a permanent contract, 39 hours per week, Sunday - Thursday
Location: Sacrewell Lodge Farm, Great North Road, Thornhaugh, Peterborough, PE8 6HJ
Pay: £13.11 per hour
Hours: 39 hours per week, hours between 6am - 4pm
What you’ll be doing…
This role is a day shift within Riverford’s Sacrewell site. The Goods In area is a hive of activity, in this role you will working with and forging relationships with a variety of people and departments. Working as part of Goods In team, this position forms a key role in maintaining the efficient flow of goods into our site whilst maintaining quality and safety standards.
As a Goods In Team Member the role will require you to be working in an outdoor environment as well as inside large cold stores and open indoor areas. You’ll be responsible for the movement of pallets and bulk bins between these areas as well as the safe loading and unloading of daily deliveries and returning loads, providing a quick turnaround where needed as well as managing the space.
As part of the sites overall stock management process, daily stock counts may form part of your working day as well as the arranging produce deliveries into designated areas for processing.
Due to the nature of the products and the role, this position will involve regular lifting, manual handling in addition to the regular and safe use of pallet trucks.
Other roles include the collation of recycling and waste ready for loading off site and ensuring the grade out produced daily is disposed of in a timely manner. In the winter months there is an added requirement to ensure the yard and surrounding areas are salted.
What we’re looking for
Experience of and operation of mechanised lifting equipment in busy environments is beneficial.
Some experience with IT systems. Familiar with Microsoft suit or similar stock management systems would be an advantage.
Experience of working in a warehouse and or production facility.
Excellent communication and people skills together with time management and organisation skills.
