The Role

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, versatility is your greatest asset. Depending on the booking, you might be:

  • Supporting Learning: Helping students understand lesson objectives and keeping them focused on their tasks.

  • Managing Behaviour: Using your communication skills to de-escalate low-level disruption and keep the class on track.

  • Building Rapport: Quickly establishing a connection with students who may be meeting you for the first time.

  • Assisting Staff: working alongside class teachers to prepare resources and ensure the school day runs efficiently.

Requirements

  • Experience: You must have recent experience working with children or young people (e.g., in schools, sports coaching, youth work, or care).

  • Adaptability: The ability to hit the ground running in a new environment.

  • Vetting: A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or we can help you apply for one).
