Summary
We are recruiting for the position of Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester on behalf of our client, a well-established independent garage located on the outskirts of Southampton. Duties:
- Conduct servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and MOT testing on all vehicle makes and models
- Perform MOT testing in compliance with current regulations
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern tools and diagnostic equipment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high standards of quality and safety
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and technological advancements
- Complete repairs and testing efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service
Candidate Specification:
- NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3, or equivalent qualification
- MOT Tester qualification (essential)
- Experience with diagnostics and fault diagnosis
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong team player with a positive attitude and professional approach
- Experience within the motor trade, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction, is highly desirable
